Thirty Logos Challenge - Day 12 - Sword & Shield - Anti-Virus Software. For this identity challenge I wanted an icon that would meld together the sword and shield shape while also giving it a digital look. My main goal was to keep it simple because if you head towards making something digital looking, it could end up too complicated. I also wanted it to be very unique looking, so I made it as abstract as possible while still retaining the sword and shield shapes. For a rename I would use the name Evitara. "Evitar" means avoid or prevent in spanish. The point of an anti-virus software program is to do just that. Evitara also has the word "Tara" in there which reminds me of Scarlett O'Hara's safeplace and stronghold during the end of the Civil War. I also think of the name "Evita", a strong woman leader of Argentina. Evitar also itself sounds lethal. "EVI" is part of "evil", which is a great quality for an anti-virus program - to kill anything that tries to attack your computer or your web browsing.
